How to sync video on 2–4 monitors (Windows)
One PC, several displays, videos that start and restart together. NARANI is a local multi-screen player — not a remote watch-party app like Syncplay.
What you need
- A Windows PC with 2–4 monitors connected and extended (not mirrored)
- Video files on the local disk (MP4 and common formats work well)
- NARANI Setup (full 72-hour playback trial)
Steps
- Install on the display PC Install NARANI on the machine that drives the wall — not a separate office laptop. Launch the app when Setup finishes.
- Create a video group Open the Video groups tab. Click New, name the group (for example “Lobby Wall”), and set Video windows to 2, 3, or 4.
- Identify monitors (optional) Click Show numbers under Identify monitors. Windows display numbers appear briefly so you know which physical screen is which.
- Assign a file and monitor per window For each window card: Browse a video, choose the monitor, set size (venues usually pick Max), and leave angle at 0° unless the panel is mounted rotated.
- Choose Sync Under Synced playback, select Sync. With one window, playback is always async. With 2+, Sync makes all windows follow the longest clip — shorter ones freeze on the last frame, then everything restarts together. Async lets each window loop alone.
- Play from Status Open the Status tab and press Play. You should see each window’s file and progress. Use From start, Pause, or Close as needed.
Tip: Save the group before you leave the tab. Later you can duplicate a group for “Night Loop” instead of rebuilding from scratch.
Common issues
- Wrong screen. Use Identify monitors, then re-pick the monitor dropdown on that window.
- Only one image on both displays. In Windows Display settings, use Extend — not Duplicate.
- Out of sync after edits. Press Close, confirm Sync is selected, then Play again from Status.
